Below are comments left below my Facebook entry criticizing Family Guy joking about Sarah Palin's child with Down Syndrome. (Note, I am closely related to someone who is mentally handicapped. I'm not politically correct in any way, but, as Jason Priestley says in Tombstone...."we got to have some law")

Sarah Palin/Brett agree on something: Family Guy is s***, and making fun of mental disabilities is bottom of the barrel comedy for cavemen.

I remember now... you have a aunt who is disabled. I have a family that is Chinese. I don't get offended at Asian jokes... they are funny. You have the right to feel however you like but I'm still laughing at all the jokes. Now, i haven't seen that episode, but i do know what to expect when i watch that show. if you don't like it, turn it off. i think ive heard you say that before. =)

yup, just watched the episode. nothing outside the norm for that show. actually brave for showing the possible other side to people who society coddles... they too can be assholes like the rest of us humans. to each his own. and you're both too PC.

Before I say anything else: "other side to people who society coddles". We coddle them b/c they can't turn on the fucking bathwater. They can't cook for themselves. They wear diapers. I hope you never have to dedicate 30 years your life caring for someone 24/7 who is your family. You'll never understand until it's your kid. Or aunt. Or sister. Or brother. My mother (along with her older sister) have taken care of my aunt for my entire life...every meal, every bath, everything...for 30 years. Before that, their mother did until the day she died. Do not make this out to be some political correctness issue. I had to watch people make fun of my aunt to her face in every store we went to growing up, and she couldn't defend herself. I had to watch children with disabilities be unable to defend themselves against the scum who make the easy jokes. This isn't political correctness, good sir, this is common fucking decency.

My aunt is 78 and has the brain capacity of an 8 year old. She is unable to speak a regular form of English, she made up her own language as a child and my mom and her other sister can understand because they have been with her 60+ years. If you think retarded people can be assholes, go visit a nursing home for older retarded women like her and you'll see how big of assholes they all are.
Sarah Palin's kid has a long road of hardship in a nightmare you cannot imagine. And don't fucking want to, bubba.

Let look at this. A show on FOX makes a crappy offensive joke, FOX news goes off the deep end about it and uses it to push their pro-Palin agenda. Its a clear set up. Palin is a media whore and I don't believe for a minute that she is really offended by anything that gives her publicity
